TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN

SONG OF THE DAY #227
Friday, December 31st, 2010
Te lo agradezco, pero no
by Alejandro Sanz

Today was New Year's Eve.. This post is a few days late, given, but it is commemorative nonetheless. This marks the end of the Sound's creation year! I can hardly believe it. Today was spent prepping for the New Year, assembling what might be our last party in this house, for now. Arranged tables and chairs, decorated, tableclothed and the like.
This song was played a few times, since I felt like it was the mood I wanted to be in. lol
I discovered apple remote, which I can connect to my new MacBook! It was great, and that's how we connected to the music later that night, and how we decided to test the waters for the party. Cross-referenced my "Mebbes" playlist, deciding whether or not to add some fusion to the otherwise Salsa assembly. There was definitely a playlist by the end of the night, including this one and tomorrow's song, and John Mayer's Slow Dancing In A Burning Room, Frank Sinatra's Auld Lang Syne, and New Order's Age of Consent, which was a last minute early morning Jam a little over five hours into 2011. There are pictures. This went down as one of the greatest times spent in this house. The party was great, and it reminded us most importantly of the great company we keep. They help us ward off all the fucked up shit the world also has to offer. We're a good core, and we'll have that no matter where we'e living. Take a look at some photos, watch a good movie, and go out and have fun!

Keep your head, keep good company, and be kind to one another.
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE SOUND!
May 2011 rock.
