SONG OF THE DAY #230

Slice Open The Day
by The Accidental

Got up at around 12:30 and got to work at 2. Imported checklists listening to the 140 songs my iPod now has in it, after yesterday's (technically this morning's) swipe. I added Dark Was The Night, The Accidental, Marie Antoinette and Florence, with Bon Iver and Adele among a few select others. The shuffle sounded pretty much like a mix of all of these sounds, which is why The Accidental is a good fit. Slice Open is versatile in that it has the fluidity of something like O'Halloran's "Opus 23," but has clear and subtle alternative roots that are much more like Bon Iver, and even Florence's "Liar." It's the perfect tie-in. After work I went straight home, ate and fell asleep. Woke up four hours later and got to watchin' some new Castle and, strangely, House Hunters: San Francisco. It's 2 AM and I'm going back to bed. Peace, y'all.
