Old Time Rock and Roll
by Bob Seger
I spent the morning with my aunt and uncle from Colorado (my parents made a giant brunch), then I wrote a few pages of dialogue for creative writing and tuned up my character, and watched countdown and Rachel Maddow and gave out candy the rest of the night! Cat ears ftw.
God: Kids, this is called a "nerd"...
Kids: Oooooooooohh...
I also dressed up briefly, and talked to Ana before the day ended. Win? Idk. I say yes, but that's just because I have low win standards. Hehe
Muahahahaha!

Great DJ
by The Ting Tings
Meeting pretty early at 8, talked about working conditions and our bosses, and how we can improve! Lol spent the day writing my Pride of the Bowery paper, until going back to work at 3. Showed up at Blanquita's when the party was dying, and came home to prep for Halloween. Chillennn!
Drove Papi home, feelin' this song in the car, pretty good night.

The Reeling
by Passion Pit
CRW today, as well as finally getting to my Civilian Conservation Corps/Pride of the Bowery essay and watching an unnecessary bunch of TV. I haven't finished my essay, but I have big plans for tomorrow! lol After this coming week I'll pretty much be free from school assignments, and I'll be able to focus on sorting my email and applying for scholarships! I lead an exciting life. Late at night I planned on hauling my dad back home from his party phase (WOOOOO!), but he made it home before I got the chance. Hehe, sneaky. Anyway, I got to listen to this sweet sweet tune on the way. Passion Pit hits home, people! Invest.

Throwing Stones
by Shout Out Louds
Found out our Athens fates... Alive and eloquent Macedonian educator! Spent the rest of the afternoon studying for a Film quiz we didn't have. Frustration ensued in class. AND I got a 77 on my scene analysis. It's bullshit, but whatever. I had a feeling I'd turned in crap work anyway. It's not low self-esteem, it's acute self-recognition. I made pasta. I like Mileini's green sweater. Good night.

Fools
by Diane Birch
Slept like 15 hours! Haha! Listened to JB Eckl's new EP, Sparks, on my way to school and back, had creative writing and a Promotions meeting! That's an unnecessary exclamation point. It's for show. Went to work, hilarious as always, then to Itita's to meet a newb family member! Lol she's nice. Came home and watched Louie until 2:30 in the morning. Gargled wine, slapped some hoes around. Goodnight, world! It's socially acceptable somewhere!

Someday
by The Strokes
I was supposed to be productive today.. Ah, fuck it. It's my last day in Gainesville and I've been working for two days. Let's have fun!
Toured the school with Yelena, Anais and Joel! Went all around explorin' and went to an advance screening of the Psych Season 5.5 premiere! First stop on the Psych College Tour 2010 AND WE WERE HERE! It was a great day. And now it's nighttime and I'm back at the computer lab, uploading. I hate the internet. Except... whatever. Don't worry, honey. I'm behaving...

CONCERT IN GAINESVILLE! Late a day on updating SOTD because of the fact... oh well. It was a great effin' time. Earlier, Jen took us on a mini-tour and to the Harn museum, where we contemplated. Saw a Monet. Brilliant time. "WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN???" PRRGHFF!

Day of HW again.. Ended Athens with a play on the Assembly, got Arch all fixed up for the trip tomorrow, and finally finished scene analysis. Watched Blood Simple in film today, realized again how great Frances McDormand is. I'm now starting to pack for the big trip over, going down in just a few hours... YEYUH! Wish us luck!

Woke up feeling old. Achey, just bad. Then spent a few hours cleaning up and had a h2h convo with Mawms about family ties. Itita's for Barbarita's thank you party, Deray at the Improv with Anaís and Jose, and back to Itita's for guaguancó y carne de puerco. Ñó, qué día...

by Vampire Weekend
This is an elegy. I spent all day tracking down the tickets, and they were nowhere to be found. Went to class early, finished workshops and poetry altogether, then to Panther Promotions. I eventually gave up the ticket hunt, and spent the day with Jose and Anaís, and our new Gaming Correspondent, Jewash. Lol
I discovered I'm a Ravenclaw, got some event tickets, and outran the rain, literally making it to the car seconds before the downpour. Arch didn't die today! So I went back to FIU at 6 for the exhibit opening at the Frost. It was great.

Wasted the day waiting to go to Cairo Time, only to find out (at six) that I missed it (at four). Ridiculous. Started my scene analysis and gave up.
P.S.: La Femme Nikita makes me question Luc Besson.
P.P.S.: The Royal Tenenbaums is great.

by The Shins
Unbelievably sloth day today.. Watched me some Brakhage when I came home from school, sometime in between the thousand things I've done (with a limited will). Pads' house a few times, Itita's a few, guzzled gas unnecessarily. It felt like I was so out of it, I was chasing my tail.
To end the day, I saw Soul Kitchen with Naty @ the Tower, and barely came home (Arch busted his ass) to watch Up in the Air for my scene analysis.

The Limit To Your Love
by Feist
and her entire "The Reminder."
I had a good mix of music today, and it was mostly underlying. For my entire proposal, which's taken me until 3:30 to finish, it's been Feist. Earlier today, though, there was some kind of Latin explosion going on at the fiu. What else today? Learned about prose poetry in creative writing, found a good Richard Blanco poem I like, conducted the Panther Promotions meeting, picked up Jessie and guest-lectured in Pedraja's, went to work and came home to work on the Socratic agenda. Peace,
God knows we need it.

Fall for Music 2010
This song takes me right back to a year ago, during my first semester taking Anthro trying to figure everything out.. I get a feeling the Fall for Music playlist is gonna be more of a nostalgic playlist-- a compilation of songs that have resonated with me at this particular time of year.. Time will tell. Enjoy this Feist.
