ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-THREE

SONG OF THE DAY #173
Monday, November 8th, 2010
Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa
by Vampire Weekend

My emotions had a field day today-- after thinking it was 11 when it was 12 amd getting to school only to realize class had already started and ended (thank you, Ben Franklin), I went from ridiculously sobbing at the series finale of Six Feet Under to researching for my cases at the Wolf. Day's tone was set by a genius on Blood Bank, and by Vamp Weekend's debut album, which I'm arguing is genius. Headed to Uncle Sam to reserve Florence, and then back to civilization for class with Luca. Talked about Three New Deals and lmao'd at Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator. I've never laughed harder at a film in bee and dub. Lol it's a new favorite, and for y'all, a new must-see. Remember, thou art mortal! Keep Calm and Carry On, and live and love as much and as often as you possibly can. It's what we're here to do. Also, visit the Wolfsonian. :>

These Days
by Nico
Fall For Music 2010

Prose poem workshopped, Archie breaks down, had an uneventful meeting with the English advisor, my Intro to Film professor, slept through the breeze on a wooden bench, went to class. Waiting for the Dalai Lama.

Wasted the day waiting to go to Cairo Time, only to find out (at six) that I missed it (at four). Ridiculous. Started my scene analysis and gave up.
P.S.: La Femme Nikita makes me question Luc Besson.
P.P.S.: The Royal Tenenbaums is great.

It was a espanglish kind of Chuckday, where Chili's, Anais, and Expert Zone filled the blanks and gaps. Listened to Radiate on my way anywhere, and to Feist when there was no radio. Let me tell you, Feist + Fall Air = YES MOMENT.

Fall for Music 2010

This song takes me right back to a year ago, during my first semester taking Anthro trying to figure everything out.. I get a feeling the Fall for Music playlist is gonna be more of a nostalgic playlist-- a compilation of songs that have resonated with me at this particular time of year.. Time will tell. Enjoy this Feist.

Happiness ensues.

I'm starting a new series inspired by the new cool breezes coming out of nowhere.
The air's getting crisp, and these days need some good music to carry that feeling and explode it.
